Difference between solution treatment and aging treatment:
The heat treatment process of supersaturated solid solution is obtained by heating the alloy to the high-temperature single-phase zone and maintaining the constant temperature, so that the excess phase is fully dissolved and cooled.
Aging treatment can be divided into natural aging and artificial aging. Natural aging is to place the casting in the open field for more than half a year to make it slowly deform, so as to eliminate or reduce the residual stress. Artificial aging is to heat the casting to 550 ~ 650 ℃ for stress relief annealing. It saves time and removes the residual stress more thoroughly than natural aging.
